What Is Manuka Floral Water?
Manuka floral water, or Manuka hydrosol, is the aromatic water produced during the steam-distillation process used to obtain Manuka essential oil.
It is important to distinguish this gentle water-based hydrosol from concentrated Manuka essential oil. Research into Manuka oil has demonstrated antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory activity, and Manuka has a long history of traditional topical use. Hydrosol is much less concentrated, however, so our Manuka Toner is intended as a gentle cosmetic skincare step rather than a treatment for acne or other skin conditions.
