From time to time, people of all ages can be unhappy about their skin being dull, too oily, too dry, too mature!
It can take time and maybe some trial and error to find the perfect mix for you, but what do you do if you are unsure about your skin type? We are here to help you find the best combination that works for you.
Skin Types
So let's start at the very beginning. Skin comes in roughly 4 different skin types;
Normal - well balanced, not too dry, not too oily
Mature - showing up laughter lines, frown lines, skin not as taut as it was
Dry - often sensitive, feels tight, dull
Oily - too much sebum, breakouts, clogged pores
There is no 'bad' skin type or 'good' skin type. We're born with these skin types, often inherited and though they can vary over time, we can't 're-programme' our skin to become a different one so let's make the most of what we have!
It's worth spending some time getting to know your skin really well and what things can affect it. Does it hate central heating? Hormonal fluctuations? Does perfume make it angry?
Our range of facial skincare has been designed specifically to help these 4 different general skin types.
Each skin type range has a unique colour so that you can tell which products are for suitable for your particular skin type. You can click on any of the 4 skin types below to see all the relevant products in that skin type collection.
Normal - Enrich
Mature - Rejuvenate
Dry - Gentle
Oily - Neutralize
We are all different and sometimes the skin on our face is different too!
For example cheeks may be drier than chins; chins may be oilier than foreheads. We're not prescriptive about sticking to all the products in a particular range. In fact, we encourage you to mix and match to find the perfect combination for your skin.
We always recommend anyone new to our range to try sample sizes first. You can choose the sample size on the product page, or at checkout.
Moving away from your current brand?
If you are changing brands, or moving away from mainstream brands to natural and organic skincare products like ours then please do be aware that skin can take some time to adjust. Skin may go through a withdrawal period as it recovers from the harsh ingredients often found in mainstream products. This can take weeks so please be patient!
Performing a Skin Patch Test
If your skin can is sensitive then test out any new products by performing a quick skin patch test. Apply a small amount of product to the skin in your elbow crease. Leave for 48 hours and if there is no perceived reaction then the product should be fine to use.
As with any product, if there is any reaction you should stop using the product immediately.
