I was in the market for a plastic free packaging skincare product that uses sustainable ingredients and found conscious skincare. On receipt of the cream it was packaged with cardboard only (which can go in my compost bin) and being in a glass jar and tin lid I am a happy customer. The cream itself surprised me as its hard pressed (I was expecting to dip right in and take a dollop like other creams I have used) as it looks very creamy. Not being able to take a dollop I took a small amount which melted in my fingers and was easy to then apply to my face. It is lush, the feel of it is divine and my skin feels so soft. A small amount goes such a long way that I am actually bowled over by this. I am glad the use by date is a year as it will take me that long to get through a £28 pot. The only thing I am not keen on and that is my own individual preference is it smells quite oaty which I am not fan of. However, once applied the smell disappears so is definitely liveable for me. It just goes to show what can be done and what a false economy these branded water based moisturisers are churning out products with plastic. My skincare just got so much better for ingredients, the environment and not to forget cheaper. Wow! Well done conscious skincare. Excellent!
